William Bogdanski, 73, passed away on February 22, 2026. Born on April 21, 1952, in Newark, NJ, William was the beloved son of Henry and Twilight Bogdanski. He built a life defined by dedication to his family, pride in his work, and a passion for craftsmanship.
William devoted his entire 35-year career to Merck. He began his tenure as a cook in the company cafeteria. Over time, through hard work and determination, he transitioned into a role as an environmental engineer, exemplifying his adaptability and commitment. No matter the position he held, William approached his work with integrity and pride.
After retirement, he relocated to Myrtle Beach to be closer to friends and family. There, he eagerly pursued his beloved hobbies of rebuilding and restoring classic motorcycles and cars. A meticulous craftsman, he found joy in bringing old machines back to life, a reflection of his patience and attention to detail.
William was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia, and his brother, Bruce. He is survived by his siblings Sandra, Penny, Frank, and Bonnie; and his daughters: Donna, Bonnie (Solomon); and Linda. He was a proud grandfather to Patricia (Justin), Ryan, and Ethan, and a delighted great-grandfather to Rose.
Above all, William will be remembered as a hardworking, patient, and loving father and grandfather who cared deeply for his family.
