Warren Hidden Obituary

Warren Thomas Hidden, 81, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Warren Thomas Hidden, 81, Passed away on November 8, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born to Steve D. Hidden and Regina Goovaerts. Warren lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a deep respect for the outdoors. He proudly served his country, enlisting in the U.S. Army after high school and completing four years of honorable service. Following his military career, Warren worked in several trades, including construction, before beginning his long and distinguished career with MABSTOA (Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operations Authority).

He started humbly, sweeping buses, but his work ethic and determination quickly advanced him into the trade gangs, where he excelled in carpentry and masonry. Warren eventually became a foreman and later accepted a management position, from which he retired with pride.

Warren's home life was the center of his heart. He devoted himself to creating a warm, stable, and loving environment for his family. He cherished his time with his wife and son and was always willing to lend a hand to neighbors and friends. Outside of work and home, Warren could most often be found enjoying the outdoors- hunting, camping, and fishing were lifelong passions that connected him to his upbringing and continued throughout his life.

Warren is survived by his son, Eric Greene; his nephews, Brian Hidden and Rich Burmeister and his wife Elaine; and his nieces, Jean Rahill and her husband Rick, Kathy Jackson, Linda Burmeister, Stacy Coyle, and Kathleen Hidden.

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia Hidden; his sister, Regina (Jean) Hidden; his brothers, Bill and Steve Hidden; and his nephew, Kevin Hidden.

Warren will be remembered for his practicality, his strong work ethic, his candid humor, and the steadfast friendships he maintained throughout his life. He touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
