Virginia Marie Wald

Virginia Marie Wald, age 84, of North Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on January 11, 2025 surrounded by loved ones at her home.

She was born on April 16, 1940 in Washington, DC to the late John Stone and Elizabeth Stone. Virginia was the baby, with three sisters; Phyllis Marion, Betty Saye, Audrey Stone now deceased, and twins Joan Gropper and Jon Stone (Shirley).

She is predeceased by her loving husband George Franklin Wald, Jr. They were married for 68 years. They had a wonderful life together, filled with love and laughter. They had 4 girls; Karen M. Saar (Danny), Deborah S. Wald (late-John Garner), Sheree A. Wald, Diane L. Petralia.  She is also survived by her grandchildren.

Virginia was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them, and considered that her main priority. She did find the time to work many years with Fashion Bug. Virginia lived a full life and was a wonderful mother and wife. She loved spending time around the water, whether is by the pool with many close friends or walking the beach. She and George also loved driving their Corvettes. Virginia also loved crocheting and  collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. Virginia was a loving mother to her fur babies as well, Lil Girl (Yorkie) and Blue (Labrador), they brought so much joy to her life. She was definitely the heart of the family and will be greatly missed.
