Seth Judah Levi Aikens was born on March 31, 1976, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ, to his loving parents, Silas Jimmie Lee Aikens and Patia Ann Aikens. His arrival brought immense joy and excitement to his family, especially his three older siblings, who eagerly welcomed him with love and affection. From the very beginning, he became the heart of family conversations, laughter, and cherished memories.
Seth was raised in Neptune, NJ, where he attended Bradley Park Elementary and Shark River Hills Elementary Schools, followed by Ridge Avenue and Neptune Middle Schools. He graduated from Neptune High School in 1994. During high school, he attended Monmouth County Vocational School, where he studied Horticulture Landscaping. His talent and passion for floral design earned him several awards from the Future Farmers of America.
After high school, Seth pursued a variety of trades, always utilizing his exceptional interpersonal skills. His favorite roles included floral design and deliveries, chauffeur driving, and customer service. His work in the medical industry led him to become a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2002 and, later, a Pharmacy Technician, graduating from Everest Institute in 2011. He went on to work for Walgreens Pharmacy and Kaiser Permanente. However, one of his most fulfilling roles was at Pizza Hut, where he took on various positions and was eventually promoted to Shift Manager.
Those who knew Seth will always remember his infectious joy and laughter. He had a natural ability to uplift others, even when facing his own challenges. His positive attitude, kindness, and willingness to help made a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Raised with a deep appreciation for Bible principles, Seth wholeheartedly believed in the Bible’s promise of a future paradise where sickness, suffering, and death will no longer exist. His love for Jehovah and for people motivated him to dedicate his life to his faith as a young teen, and he remained committed to sharing these comforting promises with others.
Seth was incredibly generous with his time and loved bringing people together. He had a passion for cooking and found joy in sharing meals at gatherings, hosting events, and keeping friends and family connected. He had an incredible memory for past experiences and enjoyed reminiscing about childhood stories, always recalling the good times and the people who made them special.
He had many interests, including traveling, meeting new people, good music, and exploring different places. His adventurous spirit took him to various states, including Richmond, VA, Metro Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Houston, TX, and finally, Myrtle Beach, SC, which reminded him most of his beloved Jersey Shore. He loved shopping for clothing and shoes, especially at thrift stores, and took great pride in dressing up in stylish suits and capturing the moment with selfies. He also had a deep love for the water and was an excellent swimmer.
Above all, Seth cherished his family. As a devoted and fun-loving uncle, he was adored by his niece and nephews. His warmth, humor, and ability to bring people together left a lasting impression on his family and countless friends. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
Seth was preceded in death by his father, Silas Aikens.
