Ronald Charles Rusnak
January 23, 1943 - July 3, 2025
Ronald Charles Rusnak, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 3, 2025, at the age of 82.
Ronald is lovingly remembered by his family, including his children, Lisa (Kurt) Flodine, David (Sandra) Rusnak, Dale Rusnak, and Denise Rusnak; grandchildren, Shane, Tanner, Cameron Flodine, Randy, Cali, and Beau Rusnak; and brother, Robert Rusnak. He cherished his 53-year marriage to his late wife, Carol Rusnak, and fondly remembered his parents, August and Pearl Rusnak, and his late sister, Janet Askins. Sadly, his grandson Kyle preceded him in death.
A graduate of South Hills Catholic High School (1960) and Point Park College (1977), where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree, Ronald built a distinguished career as a data processor at Westinghouse Nuclear Center in Monroeville, PA. His work took him around the world, and he trained future professionals in nuclear power plant operations.
Ronald's passions extended beyond his career. He enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing, camping, and golfing. As a dedicated Cub and Boy Scout leader, he inspired and mentored many young men, equipping them with essential life skills.
Ronald's charismatic personality, quick wit, and humor touched the lives of everyone he met, bringing joy and warmth to those around him.
A burial service will be held at St. Augustine Cemetery in Millvale, PA, on a date to be announced.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all of Ronald's friends, who enriched his life in Pittsburgh, DuBois, and Myrtle Beach. Your friendship meant the world to him, and he cherished every connection he made.
