Roger Myers Howman (Fuzzy) 1939 – 2024
Roger Myers Howman, better known as “Fuzzy” passed away on December 29, 2024 at NHC Healthcare in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina at the age of 85.
Fuzzy was born on April 27, 1939, in Richland County, Ohio to Leroy and Rebecca Howman, who are now deceased. He was the last of his 13 siblings to pass.
Fuzzy graduated from Ashland High School, Ohio in 1959. He soon joined the US Army in December of 1961. In his years with the service, he spent a lot of time in Korea setting up new post offices. After his time with the service, he met the love of his life, Rebecca Louise Miller. They married on December 30th, 1967, and spent 57 wonderful years together. He passed one-day shy of their 57th Wedding Anniversary. Fuzzy and Rebecca experienced a lot of life together. They owned and operated “Fuzzy’s Lounge” a bar/restaurant for nearly 18 years, before they retired and moved to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina in July of 1996.
Fuzzy is survived by his loving wife Rebecca Howman of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. His son Steven Howman of Lakeland, Florida. His son Todd Howman of Ontario, Ohio. His daughter Angela Wade (Jeremiah Wilson) of Mansfield, Ohio. His step-son Greg Wade (Stacey Barrett) of Findley, Ohio. He also leaves behind other family member and countless friends.
Fuzzy was a loving father and he would light up any room he entered. He was an avid coin collector, and lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Although Fuzzy is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.
Services for Fuzzy have yet to be determined and will be announced by the family at a later date.
