Robert Montana, affectionately known as Bob and Bobby, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He passed away at his home in Myrtle Beach surrounded by his family on July 8, 2025 at the age of 81. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Paula; his children, Lisa, Annie, Angela, Anthony, and Matthew; his grandchildren, Scott, Robert, Brandon, Alex, Meaghan, Abigail and Grace; his great-grandchildren, Aiden, Kian, Emma and Liam. Sadly, his grandson, Christopher preceded him in death.

Bob was born in Brooklyn. Throughout his years he lived in Brooklyn, Queens, Huntington, Smithtown, Centereach, Farmingville and lastly in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was called to duty to serve in the army during the Vietnam War. 
He worked as a real estate broker for most of his life, but he was an entrepreneur that dabbled in many trades. He always used to say, “I can fix anything but a broken heart.” 
His one passion was his pigeons, which he raised and trained since he was a boy, even turning it into a business at one point called “Birds of Love”.
Bob was a loving and friendly man. He was always there for his family. He will be missed by those who loved him forever.

A wake will be held on Sunday July 13, 2025 from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM at Myrtle Beach Funeral Home, 4505 Hwy 17 Bypass South, Myrtle Beach, SC. 29577.

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway, South Carolina on Monday July 14, 2025 at 11 AM, with Military Honors.
