Sorry Family, I had to leave!
Please don’t cry for me too long, because from my first sunrise on March 27, 1962 until my last sunset on January 28, 2026 I have been blessed.
I had loving parents, my father: Richard Myers, Sr. and my mother: Charlena Smith Myers. God blessed me with grandparents who helped raise me: “Mama” Mary P. Myers and “Daddy” Dan Myers who is waiting on me.
My childhood was great. I was born and grew up right here in Myrtle Beach, S.C. I had two brothers: Frederick Myers (deceased) and Keith Myers.
I enjoyed playing with my cousins on those long summer days. We played outside until night fall. I rode my mini bike and my horse with my friends. We had so much fun!
I attended Horry County schools and graduated from Socastee High School in 1981. The next day me and my cousins moved to Troy, N.Y.
While in Troy, N.Y. I met Brenda, and we had three beautiful children; Joshua Myers, Shonda Myers Harrington, and Richard Myers III (Lil, Rich). They gave me 7 amazing grandchildren.
Later I became a big brother again, and again and again and again: Jahkil Myers (deceased), Jason Myers, Justin, and Javon Myers.
I have a large family, The Myers and The Smiths.
Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, my friends, and a special friend, Kim Smalls.
I know y’all going to miss me. It all happened so fast. I’m going to be okay.
If you hold on to the memories, the good times we had, you hold on to me. You might not see me, but you will always feel me. I will always be around and in your hearts forever.
Gotta Go! Love Y’all,
Tim
