Rebecca ‘Bekki’ Lynn Phagan
She was a lifelong artist at heart
Myrtle Beach — Rebecca “Bekki” Lynn Phagan, 70, passed away peacefully at her home on May 21, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born Nov. 2, 1954, in Sylva, North Carolina, Rebecca was a lifelong artist at heart. Her love for painting and creativity touched everyone who knew her. She also found great joy in cooking and gardening, always creating beauty and warmth wherever she went. Above all, Rebecca was a devoted caregiver — always putting the needs of others before her own and nurturing her family with love, strength and kindness.
She was predeceased by her father, Ed Hughes of Pensacola, Florida; and brothers, Greg Hughes and Jason Moses, both of Myrtle Beach.
Rebecca is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Daniel Phagan; her two children, Josh Phagan and Jennifer Rossmiller; and her cherished grandchildren, Scarlet Rose Phagan and Katherine Elizabeth Curvan. She also leaves behind her mother, Betty Moses, and her brothers, Jeffery, Steve and Mickey Hughes. Her presence will be deeply missed and her memory forever treasured by those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21, at Myrtle Beach Funeral Home, 4505 U.S.17, Myrtle Beach. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow at Beach Church, 557 George Bishop Parkway, Myrtle Beach, until 2 p.m., where a light lunch will be served as friends and family gather to celebrate Rebecca’s life. In honoring Rebecca’s generous spirit, the family invites those attending to share stories, laughter and memories of a woman who gave so much to others.
