Raymond Berrouet Obituary

Raymond Berrouet
January 5, 1941 – October 21, 2025

Raymond Berrouet, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and man of unwavering faith, passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born in Haiti on January 5, 1941, Raymond’s life was defined by courage, curiosity, and compassion. He immigrated to the United States as a young man and proudly served his adopted country in the U.S. Air Force, where he specialized in avionics. His meticulous nature and dedication to excellence reflected both his love of technology and his deep sense of duty.

After retiring from military service, Raymond pursued a second calling returning to school to become a registered nurse. Caring for others came naturally to him; his patients and colleagues alike admired his steadiness, empathy, and quiet strength.

As a Catholic, Raymond’s faith was the compass that guided his every step. He found fulfillment in helping others and joy in life’s many expressions: whether attending the theater, enjoying a gala evening among friends, or engaging in thoughtful conversation that reflected his sharp mind and generous spirit. He loved music, the joy of dancing, and the way both could bring people together in celebration of life.

Raymond is now reunited with his beloved wife, Yvette Berrouet, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion. He is survived by his daughter, Miriam Berrouet; his son, Ray Berrouet, and daughter-in-law, Nicolette Berrouet; and his cherished grandchildren, Katja and Rafael Berrouet. His life was one of service, grace, and intellectual curiosity, and his warmth will live on in all who were fortunate to know him.

A viewing will be held at Myrtle Beach Funeral Home on October 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place at St. Michael Catholic Church on October 28th at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Jacqueline Rodgers Foundation, in honor of Raymond’s lifelong spirit of compassion and service.

Forever loved, forever remembered.
