Paul Canale of Myrtle Beach, SC died suddenly after a medical event.
Born in Braintree, MA to Michael and Philapena Canale, Paul graduated from Braintree High School in 1976. Always curious and a dedicated craftsman, Paul spent his career as an auto mechanic, most notably at McGee Toyota in Hanover, MA and Myrtle Beach Chevrolet-Cadillac in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Paul will forever remain in the grateful hearts of his children, Christine and Stephen, whom he joyfully raised and encouraged each day. His smile and laughter will live on in the hearts of his three grandchildren, Karmen, Andrew, and Thomas. Paul is survived by his brother, Michael; his sister, Dorothy Canale; Christine and Stephen’s mother, Stephanie; his daughter-in-law, Meghan; his nieces, Cristina, Emily, Daniela, and Claudia; and his nephews, Jeremiah and Jonathan — all of whom he loved more than could ever be expressed on paper or screen.
His family takes great comfort in knowing he has been reunited in eternal peace with his father, Michael; his mother, Philapena; and his sister, Debra.
Paul was a lifelong fan of the Boston Celtics, Bruce Springsteen, and horse racing. He spent years — decades, some might say — restoring his blue 1961 Corvette to a glory far beyond its original condition. Paul will be remembered as kind, generous, and going to get one more scoop of ziti.
A celebration of life with family and friends will take place in Massachusetts at a later date.
