Patricia Moring Emory

Patricia Moring Emory, 83, passed away suddenly on August 8, 2024. She was a beloved
mother, friend, and teacher who will be deeply missed.

Born on June 23, 1941, in Durham, NC, Patricia—affectionately known as "Pat"—lived
and worked there until moving to Calabash, NC, in June 2024. She attended UNC-
Greensboro and became a dedicated teacher, trailblazing in the field of education. But above all,
Pat was a devoted mother who cherished every moment spent with her daughter. She was also a
passionate advocate for her family and many "adopted" sons and daughters.

Pat loved the Lord and was always ready to pray with anyone she met. She took great joy in
encouraging others and reminding them of God’s love.

Pat is survived by her loving daughter, Julia Emory; her sisters, Sylvia Lane (Ollen) and
Sandra Conklin (Bill); nieces, nephews, and many others she adopted as family.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to local churches, school teachers, and community
organizations that support others.
