Ofelia Loved Jesus with all her heart and made it her life’s mission to tell everyone she came in contact with the way to heaven. Every night she would pray for hours for everyone. She made it her routine to never go to bed without praying for her family and those she called friends. Ofelia spent the last 13 years of her life living with her oldest son Daniel & his wife Nanette. She loved to travel, play bingo, put together puzzles and play Uno & Yatzee. In the last 5 years she developed Macular Degeneration and lost the ability to see clear enough to read her bible but the word was written on her heart and she would share it with everyone she came in contact with.
The last day Daniel was with her all day holding her hand and telling her she did good, she did really good. And that we loved her and everyone asked about her. She was peaceful and happy. As her son David stated we are sure she will hear “You did well my good and faithful servant.”
Her last words were: I love you all. She looked up to heaven and looked into the face of Jesus when she took her last breath and smiled.
See you in Heaven Mom. You were my best friend and side-kick and I am honored to have been able to take care of you. We will miss you. Until we meet again.
