Nicholas Sutton Obituary

Nicholas Anthony Sutton
June 7, 1995 – January 5, 2025

Nick Sutton was bigger than life! A smile as bright as the sun. He loved everyone and shared his heart and kindness with anyone he met. Born in Brick Memorial Hospital, Brick, New Jersey, to his devoted parents, Susan, and Anthony Sutton, Sr. Nick grew up in Toms River, Lakewood, and Pennsville New Jersey, and had friends everywhere. There was no place Nick could go where he did not know a friend, find a friend, or make a friend. There were many times when Nick stumbled, fell, and struggled, but he always got back up, brushed himself off, and came back harder and stronger. Nick never gave up and he was never a quitter. Nick was Fearless!

A graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School, Pennsville, NJ; Hudson Valley Community College, Troy NY, and Notre Dame University of Ohio, Euclid OH – Class of 2019. Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Nick relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC after college graduation in 2019 and worked as an EMT/Firefighter for Myrtle Beach Fire and Rescue, while also starting his own very successful Lawn and Landscaping business, Sutton Scapes. Always the go-getter, Nick was enrolled in the Spring 2025 class for the accelerated RN program at
Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Myrtle Beach, SC, wanting to become a travel nurse and hopefully snowboard around the world.

In mid-December, Nick traveled to France for a 10-day ski trip with his ‘mainline friends’ and declared it an experience of a lifetime. Nick had a passion for sports, a born athlete, he loved football, starting with the Pennsville Eagles and finishing with a college championship. He loved to go to music festivals including the Electric Forest Fest. Nick had so many plans, dreams, and ideas that led him down many paths.

Nick is survived by his loving parents, Susan and Tony, his older sister, Lexi Chiappetta, his younger sister, Samantha Sutton, his amazing girlfriend, Hannah Wilson, his sweet adoring nephew Eli Sutton, and his loyal canine companion Gemma who laid by his side as he fell into eternal sleep.

Nick is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Eckhoff, Toms River New Jersey, and his paternal grandparents, Elbert and Carole Sutton, Lakewood, NJ.

To all of Nick’s friends far and wide, old, and new, know that Nick loved every one of you to his core; he shared amazing stories of all of you. When you think of him, remember his smile, his
funny laugh, and his passion for life.

Remember Nick on August 21, 2025, National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day. Fentanyl remains the leading cause of accidental overdose deaths among Americans aged 18-45.
All it took was one mistake, thinking it would never happen to him. But this one time, a low dose of Percocet was laced with Fentanyl.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Nick will be cremated under the care of Myrtle Beach Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach, SC.
