Michael E. Collins

Michael Eugene Collins, 69, of Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away on February 24, 2011 with his family by his side. Michael loved and was loved by many. He was born in New York, New York in 1941. Michael graduated from Fordham University, and was married to Karen Runco Collins on June 14, 1970. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Karen, his, daughter Kelly Lear and husband Aaron and their three children Evelyn, Teddy and Penelope, of Hudson, OH; and son, Sean and his wife Jennifer Collins of Myrtle Beach. Also surviving are brother, Jack Collins and sister Sally Wiley. He was preceded in death by his parents Evelyn and Eugene and his brother Stephen. Michael served in the Army and Air Force reserves as a medic. Michael was an Officer and Director for several corporations of the Imasco Limited group of companies, Montreal and Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Imasco Holdings Group, Inc., New York. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 26, 2011at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church in Pawley's Island. A luncheon will follow at the church in Founder's Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Father Pat's Kitchen c/o Precious Blood, 1633 Waverly Road, Pawleys Island, SC 29585.
