Matilde Torres

Matilde Torres, age 87, went to her heavenly home surrounded by family Wednesday July 24, 2024.
Ms. Torres was born July 10, 1937 in Monte Carmelo Trujillo, Venezuela. She was the first born daughter to the late Sofia Torres and Jesus Saez. Matilde was a godly woman and her faith was the blueprint of her being. Venezuela was the backdrop to her life and her most treasured memories. Matilde was a loving and caring person and at the age of 6, she dedicated her life to raising her late siblings Eraida Saez and Edilio Torres. At the age of 20, Matilde married the love of her life, the late Gustavo Ramirez with whom she shared many travels, dances and three beautiful children. Matilde Torres is survived by two of her children Gustavo Ramirez, Odalys Ramirez, her grandchildren, Jesus Ramirez, Gustavo Gamboa, Audrix Gamboa and Miguelangel Gamboa, Amy Ramirez, and Kevin Ramirez and six great-grandchildren whom she loved to spend time with.
After a long, beautiful life on earth at the age of 87, Ms. Torres was greeted in heaven by her daughter Gabriela Ramirez Gamboa, and her grandson Gustavo Alfonso.
While Matilde's family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember Matilde in a way that honors her positive spirit.
The family will receive friends at Myrtle Beach Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 6:00pm Friday July 26th, 2024. Burial will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, July 27th at Hillcrest Cemetery.
