Margaret "Peggie" Ann Kishanuk (Faeth), age 71, passed away, Friday, November 29, 2024, at her home in Myrtle Beach, S.C. after an extended illness surrounded by her loved ones.
Peggie was born June 12, 1953, in Manhattan, N.Y. to her parents Gloria Mary Faeth (Prata) and Francis Joseph Faeth, both deceased.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years and 10 months Lawrence "Larry" Kishanuk of Myrtle Beach, S.C., daughter Emily Faeth Kishanuk and partner Josh Short of Woodsboro, MD, son Matthew Francis Kishanuk and wife Lauren Kishanuk( Hall) of Frederick, MD, brother
Francis (Paul) Faeth and wife Despina Kartson of Bronxville, N.Y., sister Lisa (Ann) Faeth of Burlington, N.C., grandson Ayden Lee Short and many nieces and nephews.
Peggie grew up in Plainview, N.Y. and after marrying the love of her life, Larry, on January 24, 1976, they resided in Franklin Square, N.Y., Silver Spring, Gaithersburg and Walkersville, MD. They vacationed yearly in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and loved it so much they decided to make it home in 2016 upon retiring.
Peggie loved her family, decorating the home for holidays and seasons, singing in the church choir and weddings, going to the beach, shopping, especially at Christmas time, word searches, puzzles, reading, her dogs and ice cream.
Peggie was a very kind, generous and loving person who will be sorely missed. We will never forget her laughter, humor and lovely smile that remained with her throughout her illness.
She will be cremated and when her husband, Larry, passes their ashes and those of her beloved dogs: Sunshine, Snowy and Charlie will be spread in the ocean that she so dearly loved. The family expresses their gratitude to all the McLeod Hospice caregivers that took care of her during this difficult time. May she rest in peace in God's hands.
