Lauri Potridge Doss

August 19th, 1968-February 12th, 2025 

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lauri Potridge Doss. On the morning of February 12th, 2025, Lauri passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the age of 56. 

A native of Pioneer, Ohio, Lauri graduated from Western Kentucky University with honors in 1995. After a successful career as a paralegal, Lauri moved to Myrtle Beach and started a business in what would become her true passion: wedding and event planning. For many years she enjoyed bringing to life the visions of people for their most important moments and celebrations. 

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert Doss; brother Brian Potridge; son Ashtin Potridge; daughter Haley Hill (spouse Darin Hill); grandchildren Avery & Riley; son Aaron Doss (spouse Molly Doss); grandchildren Olivia, Isabelle & Miles. daughter Suzanne Laux (spouse John Laux); grandchildren Luke, Issac & Eliza. She is also survived by her mother, Rita Weitendorf, and her stepfather, Karl Weitendorf.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Jerry Potridge.

Lauri’s outgoing nature, strength of faith, kind spirit, and willingness to help others before herself is truly an inspiration. She undoubtedly touched the lives of countless people, and many were fortunate to call her friend. 

Memorial Services will be held at Ocean View Baptist Church, 7300 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572, on March 1st, 2025. Visitation starts at 9:30am, with the funeral service following at 10:30am.
