Laura Suzanne Askew

Laura Suzanne Askew, 76, from Gates County NC, passed away at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC on Saturday, January 10, 2026. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Lloyd Askew and Laura Cleo Sumner and also by her two brothers, James Randall Askew and Barry Lloyd Askew.  She lived in the Raleigh, NC area for many years.  But, spent the last 5 years living with her niece, Wendy, in Gates County. 

She enjoyed spending time gardening and playing with her dog and cats.  She also enjoyed going to Nags Head where she had some great childhood memories.
