Karen Martha (Sheerer) Berman, 82

Karen M. Berman, 82, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away in her home on April 26, 2025 following a long, courageous battle with breast cancer, surrounded by family.

She was born in NYC, NY, and raised in West New York, NJ and North Bergen, NJ, and worked most of her life for the USPS as a mail handler. 

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her son Nicholas, and her granddaughter, Shannon; and her brothers, William Sheerer (Mary), Douglas Sheerer (Judith) and Robert Sheppard (Kathy).

Karen is survived by her partner in life, soul-mate and best friend, her beloved husband Stanley Berman, her daughters Laurie Berman and Leah Berman, and her sister, Janet Sheppard.

She was a loving grandmother to Ann Marie, Amy, Nicholas, Ashley and Roger, as well as eight great-grandchildren. Also, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. 

Karen will be missed by many and remembered always-
