It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James L. Huggins, who passed away on March 8th at the age of 73.
He is survived by his daughters, Tonya Pearce (David Pearce) and Tiffney Donaldson (Nicholas Donaldson). He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Chandler Bowers, Gracen Pearce, Saige Pearce, and Colt Donaldson, who brought him endless joy. One of his favorite things in life was spoiling his grandchildren whenever he could. two sisters: Annmarie Gibson and Sandy Bevel; special aunt: Sally Hewitt Joye; cousin: Rebecca Bereshkovsky and niece: Danell.
He was married to Tammy Adams Huggins, the mother of his daughters.
James proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and later worked for many years in the elevator trade, where he built a respected career before retiring.
James loved music, especially anything by Jimmy Buffett, and enjoyed the simple moments in life surrounded by family. He will be deeply loved, greatly missed, and forever remembered by those who knew him. James was predeceased by his parents: Gary L. Huggins and Annie M. Huggins of Myrtle Beach and two brothers: Danny Huggins and Jackie Huggins
He will be remembered for his hard work, dedication to his family, and the many memories he created with those who loved him.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday April 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Christian Life Center, 124 April Gray Lane Myrtle Beach SC 29579.
