Gregory Brunson Stephens, 61, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at his residence after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annette Graham Tuten and his father, Brunson Stephens.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00pm on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Porter Swamp Baptist Church in Cerro Gordo, NC, officiated by Reverend Tim Moore.
Greg left behind a step brother, Clint Graham Cornette (Shuford) and he was raised in the home with his cousins, Sonja Green and Rhonda Conner (Danny). They always introduced him as their “brother “, Greg. Greg’s ashes will be spread at the graves of his loving and devoted Grandmother, Mary Stephens, his “Aunt Lou”, Louise Green who loved and raised him and his mother who loved and adored him, Annette Graham Tuten.
Greg graduated from West Columbus High School in Cerro Gordo, NC where he was on the Tennis team and played RA basketball. He loved dancing with the Strawberry Cloggers from Chadbourn, NC. Greg held an Associate Degree from Southeastern Community College and also attended the University of NC at Wilmington, NC. Greg had several careers in his lifetime, Car Rental Associate, Realtor, Bank Teller, Pressure Washer Extraordinaire and Owner/Operator of Squeegee Clean Window Cleaner.
Greg loved the Lord and was a member of Porter Swamp Baptist Church. He always had the knack for bringing a smile to your face. He will be missed by his family and friends because he never met a stranger, he loved to talk and he was always ready to lend a helping hand!
