Gerald "Jerry" McGrory

It is with great sadness that we announce Gerald (Jerry) McGrory, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Sunday Nov 17, 2024.  Jerry resided in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Jerry was born to Catherine (Jeffers) McGrory and Vincent McGrory in Norristown, Pa on Sept 14, 1947.  He graduated from Bishop Kenrick HS in 1965.  He proudly served his country in the US Army.  He had joined the Ambulance Squad and met his loving wife, Peg in the ER where she was a nurse.  They were married July 3, 1970.  Jerry had a 28-year career at Bell of Pa and retired as a splicer.  Jerry and Peg retired to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1996 where he enjoyed a 2nd career in real estate with his wife and was a Broker for Realty One Group/Dockside.  

Jerry loved being out in nature, traveling with his wife, and dedicated to being with his family.  He was very patriotic, loved his country, and his cat, Sophie.  Jerry was a sweet man who was always first to help someone in need.  He is preceded in death by his Mother, Catherine (Jeffers) McGrory, his Father, Vincent McGrory, and his Brother, Robert McGrory.  

He is survived by his Wife, Peg (Noecker) McGrory, his Daughter, Kathy (McGrory) Hunter who is married to Erik Hunter, and his Son, Michael McGrory.  

No public services are scheduled per his wishes.  The family will be planting a tree in his honor at Kathy and Erik’s home with Peg.
