Gerald Fryar Obituary

Gerald Dean Fryar, age 82, passed away, June 23, 2024, at his residence in Florence.

Gerald was born November 28, 1941, in Gouldbusk, TX., a son of late Fred Fryar and Eula West Morris. In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by two brothers: Bob and Bill Fryar. Gerald loved playing golf, watching football, and was an avid Clemson Tiger Football Fan. But he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gerald is survived by his wife; Peggy Fryar; three children: Sherry Barnhill (Lee), Jenny Dees (Jason), and Betty Herring; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Betty DeVera and Bonnie Miles.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Faith Holiness Church, 143 W. Camp Branch Road, Scranton, SC. 29591
