George Franklin Wald, Jr.

George Franklin Wald Jr, age 85, of North Myrtle Beach, SC passed away with loved ones at home.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Marie (Stone) Wald of 68 years. they went on to have 4 girls. Karen M. Saar(Danny), Deborah Sr. Wald (the late John Garner), Sheree A. Wald and Diane L. Petralia. He is also survived by his grandchildren.

George was born July 13, 1939 in Washington DC to the late George Wald Sr. and Mary Wald. George was the middle child, with one (late) sister; Mary Ann Beckleman and brother; John Wald(Joan).      

George was a veteran of the U.S. Navy as a Torpedo man on the USS Ingraham DD694. Then he worked for and retired from the Washington Gas Light Co. George was known for telling his life stories with everyone, and spending time at the beach with his wife, Jenny and close friends. He also loved walking his dog’s-Blue and Lil girl. He loved his Corvettes and Harley Motorcycle. George was an active member in VFW post #10804 and a member of the American Legion Post # 0186, and the Rolling Thunder Chapter 3.

George was a Great Family Man!
