George Edward Langford, Jr.
December 24, 1963 – April 9, 2025
Suddenly on April 9, 2025 George E. Langford Jr, of Surfside Beach, SC passed away. He is survived by his beloved wife Sue Langford (nee Fox), his daughters Kimberly Brooks and Cythia Langford, his step- daughter Amy Ward, and his brother David Langford. He is remembered lovingly as “G” by his four grandchildren: Kristopher Brooks, Kaitlyn Sutphin, Tyler Ward and Blake Ward. George is also survived by his former spouse, Roxanne Langford, of Glen Burnie, MD.
George was born in Baltimore Maryland on December 24. 1963 to the late George E. Langford Sr. and Joan Langford. He lived in Catonsville MD, Stevensville MD, and for many years in Glen Burnie MD before he and Sue decided to “Live the Dream” by moving to Surfside Beach SC in 2021.
George was employed by A&G Management of Maryland and, after his move to South Carolina, by The Home Depot in Murrell’s Inlet. He loved to play pool and enjoyed boating and fishing. While he lived in Maryland he was a member of Ravens Roost # 94 in Glen Burnie.
George was a man of few words and simple pleasures. He was extraordinarily handy and could fix just about anything. He will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends.
At George’s request, no viewing or services will be held.
