Frances Quaranta

Frances Quaranta, 94, of Murrells Inlet, SC. passed away peacefully in her home on February 16, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Born on December 15, 1931 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was the daughter of George and Julia Kovac.  Fran spent her life dedicated to her family and friends.  She was a wonderful cook, gracious host and known for her loving heart and fabulous apple pie.

Fran is survived by her sister: Doris Zigmont; three daughters: Mary Ruehl (John), Susan Kosydar (Joseph), and Christine Fine (Eric). As well as her three granddaughters, three grandsons, three great grandsons and six great granddaughters.

Her legacy of grace, style and her unconditional love for family and God will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 6, 2026 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Ave, Murrells Inlet, SC. 29576.
