Felton Roy Jones, Jr., age 48, of Green Sea, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his home. Born on October 25, 1976, in Lumberton, North Carolina, to Felton Jones and Kathy Hunt Jones.
Felton’s career spanned 25 years at Southeastern Regional Medical Center (now UNC Health Southeastern), where he began as a Nursing Assistant on 1st East and worked his way up to become the Phlebotomy Supervisor. Throughout his career, he was known for his work ethic, compassion, and dedication to the patients and staff he served. His professionalism and commitment to healthcare made him a pillar of the team, and his outgoing personality left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Felton's sense of humor, and zest for life will be remembered by his many friends and colleagues. His love for pranking and good-naturedly embarrassing people was legendary. There was never a dull moment when Felton was around, especially if you were someone who happened to be the target of one of his playful schemes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Jones; and four children, Ciera Alphin (Christopher), Zackery, Caleb, and Jordan; his father, Felton Jones and step mother Darlene Jones, step brother Dwayne Sweat (Kasondra). He is preceded in death by his mother Kathy Hunt Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously invites, those who wish to honor Felton R. Jones, Jr., to consider a contribution towards expenses.
A visitation will be held on July 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jones’ home, 1076 Green Sea Road, Green Sea, SC. Following the visitation, a celebration of Felton’s life will take place at 3:00 PM at Green Sea First Baptist Church.
Felton will be dearly missed but forever remembered for his unwavering love, dedication, and the many lives he touched throughout his time on this earth.
