It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ella Dianne Finklea. She passed away at home on Sept 16th, 2024, after a long time battle with COPD and Chronic Lung Disease. Dianne was born on June 8th,1951 to Glennis Legrand Finklea and Addie Ruth Marsh. She was the youngest of five girls. Originally form Columbia, South Carolina, she moved to Myrtle Beach to raise a family and to be close to the ocean she loved so much. Dianne loved to go to the beach to watch the waves roll in and to soak up the sun. She enjoyed walking the boulevard and indulging in a funnel cake or two and often found herself near the bowery listening to that good old beach music in her younger years. She was an oldies, but a goodies kind of girl and she enjoyed the simple things in life, like going to the yard sales with her dear friend, Sherri Durrett. She was also an animal lover and truly adored all her fur babies, especially her "baby boy", Symie.
Dianne is survived by her daughters, Amber Sindab, Ashley McClelland, and predeceased by her eldest daughter, Heather. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Destiny McClelland , whom she raised as her own. She leaves behind six additional grandchildren- Zorrah Roddey, Antonio Roddy, Julianna Taylor, Austin Finklea, Ava Finklea and Alex Sindab.
She will be dearly missed by those around her and per her wishes will be cremated and scattered out into the ocean with her dearly departed "Baby boy", Symie. No services will be held.
