Eleanor Ann Parkinson

Eleanor Ann Parkinson, 79, of Conway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. She was born on July 8, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Robert Joseph Parkinson and the daughter of the late James Barnes and Marie Hubert. She devoted twenty years of service as an employee of Horry County Schools.

She is survived by her children, Maureen Ann Ellenberger, Mark Robert Parkinson, and Kathleen Marie Parkinson Pearce; her sister, Virginia Valentino; and her nine cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Sorg.

A celebration of life to honor Eleanor will be held on February 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the family home located at 2926 Highway 19, Conway, SC 29526. Grandma was a beautiful and admired woman, loved by all who knew her. Her spirit and legacy of kindness remain in our hearts forever. She will always be remembered and deeply loved.
