Edward D. Couture, 67, originally of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on April 5, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on April 22, 1958.
Edward was more than his work, though he spent many years as a construction worker, building with his hands and providing for his family with pride. At his core, he was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man who gave his all to the people he cared about.
He was the kind of man who could make you laugh when you needed it most, whose sense of humor and warmth made people feel at ease. His kindness wasn't loud - it showed in the way he treated others, the way he showed up, and the strength he carried through life. He had an unbreakable spirit, one that stayed strong no matter what life put in front of him.
Edward was a proud and devoted father to his sons, Matthew and Ryan, and a loving husband to his wife, Debra. His family was his world.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Couture; his son, Matthew Couture; his mother, Angela Couture; and his brothers, Michael Couture and Mark Couture.
He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Couture, Sr.; his beloved son, Ryan Edward Couture; and his loyal dogs, Roxy and Bear.
The loss of Edward leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his love, his laughter, and his memories he created will never fade. He lives on in the stories shared, in the lessons he taught, and in the hearts of those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved. His memory will live on in the lives he touched and the memories he made.
