Dorothy Elizabeth Kansal

Dorothy Elizabeth Kansal passed away December 30, 2024, at the age of 73.  She was a native of Ireland and resident of Myrtle Beach, SC.  She was a sincere, lively, and deeply caring person to those who knew her well.  Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother.   She was a retired nurse with a passion for flowers; she was very dedicated to making weekly arrangements for Sea Captains Restaurant for the past ten years.  She loved living near the beach, having a good laugh, and always looked forward to special events and celebrations.

She is survived by her children, Selena Kansal and husband Matthew Deutsch, Aron Kansal and wife Carolina Rodriguez (Carito); grandchildren, Sage Deutsch and Paula Kansal Rodriguez; parent, Florence Lucas; siblings, Ruth Bourke, Eileen Taylor, Gladys Frazer, Caroline Wilson (Maud), and David Lucas.    

A Celebration of Life will be held in early February at Sea Captains Restaurant.  A funeral service will be held on March 28th at Corraneary Presbyterian Church in County Cavan, Ireland, where Dorothy’s ashes will be laid to rest.
