Donald Gary Horton

Donald Gary Horton, age 74, passed away, July 18, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Donald was born February 16, 1951 in Baltimore, MD., a son of William Robert Horton and Estella Marie Maenner Horton.  Gary was predeceased by a daughter: Melanie Marie Horton and three brothers.  Gary proudly served his country in the US Marines. Gary was a wonderful man, he was a great husband, father, and pop-pop.  He was a Welder/Boilermaker the majority of his life, who was a very hard working man.  Gary retired when he was 70 years old.  He then took exceptional care of his 97 year old mother until he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Gary was a happy go lucky kind of guy, he loved spending time with his family, telling jokes, going on vacations, golfing, and karaoke.  Gary was loved by many, God has gained an Angel.  Rest in peace my love, until we meet again.

Surviving are his wife: Nancy Horton; five children: Paula Horton, Rebecca Horton, Jennifer Whitcomb, Heather Fowler (Sean), and Brandon Gruszczynski; grandchildren: Samantha Jones, Jordan Dorsey, Brittney Manalansan, Averi Manalansan, Pfifer Manalansan, Barry Smith, III, Blake Smith, Dallyse Fowler, Devan Horton, and Destiny Horton; eight great grandchildren; one brother: Elmer “Chuck” Jones.

A celebration of life will be held in Maryland soon.
