Darnell Luray Weatherwalks

With our heavy hearts we announce the passing of Darnell (Dawn) L. Weatherwalks.
Beloved widow, mother, Grandmother (Grammy), and friend. Dawn bravely fought a tough fight, and now, at peace has gone to be with the lord. She passed April 4, 2025 at the age of 77.

Dawn was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey to the late Nelson and Doris Hullings. She met her late love Joseph ( Woody) Haines and made a home in West Ocean City, Maryland. They later moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina , and made it their permanent home when their first grandson (Gavin) was born.  Dawn was a member of the Garden City Baptist Church where she proudly served in the women's ministry.

She is survived by her loving son Donald R. Weatherwalks Jr, and his wife Samantha. The joys of Grammys life were her grandchildren Gavin, Camden, Mason. Sharing her words of wisdom, humor, love of all animals, and boundless love. Her legacy will live on with her grandsons. In keeping her wishes there will be no public services, but a family celebration of life at a later date. In true Grammy fashion, words of wisdom were left on an old (2015) half sheet of paper stuck in a drawer found by her son Don after her, passing to let him and our loved ones know that she is at peace and God has called her home.
