Daniel (Papa) Murray, 68, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away on 10/14/2024 after a battle with cancer.
Dan was born on 7/24/1956 to James and Virginia Murray in Lowell, Mass. He was the youngest of four brothers- Tom, Jimmy and Patrick.
He met the love of his life, Linda Bernier who he spent 46 wonderful years with. Together they raised 2 beautiful children Kimberly (married to David Cayot) and Ryan
(married to Jenny Olney) and were blessed with 5 amazing grandchildren- Alex, Brayden, Zac, Allie and Avery.
After retiring to Myrtle Beach in 2018 Dan found his passions which included walking the beach with his wife, bush crafting with his grandchildren in the woods of Vermont,
attending Bible Study or woodworking in his garage.
Dan’s deep faith touched all who knew him. When people asked him how he was, he always responded “Blessed more than I deserve”. The scripture that ruled his life was “I
have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
Dan’s faith led him to another venture working with the youth of the community at Ground Zero. As much as he gave volunteering he received in kind from the wonderful
kids as well as the other volunteers and staff. He truly loved his time there.
Services for Dan will be at Carolina Forest Community Church 1381 Carolina Forest Blvd Myrtle Beach, SC 29579, on Saturday, November 16th, 2024 at 11:00am. A celebration of life will take place in New Hampshire at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ground Zero an organization Dan felt strongly about.
