Chevon Lynn Bacot
May 1, 1983 - February 19, 2025
Born and raised in Charlotte, NC and having lived in Fort Cambell, KY and the Lake Wylie, SC area of Clover and Fort Mill, Chevon finally fulfilled her dream of living at the beach. Myrtle Beach! She had her "toes in the sand" on the beaches of the Grand Strand on an almost daily basis. The beach proved to be just a step away from heaven, as Chevon entered the Pearly Gates on February 19th, 2025. She rested peacefully, in her final days, surrounded by family and friends. She brought so many together, who may have never met, without her talent of endearing the hearts of such a big, diverse group. She was 41.
Chevon was so proud of being instrumental in the opening and managing two bakeries in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach. She often referred to the stores as her "babies", saying up late doing paperwork or even going in at 2am to get a jump on baking during busy times. She was also constantly working throughout the community to network the sweet confections.
Her desire to serve her communities went beyond sugary treats. Chevon was a volunteer for the NMB Rescue Squad and accepted every challenge. As she took her classes in First Aid and CPR, she achieved a 100% on all her tests. She enjoyed riding in the back of the ambulance and learning lifesaving skills. She was so proud when she got her “Neon” rescue jacket, and wore it all the time. She made many friends and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her fellow Squad members.
Chevon’s legacy lives on through her four adoring children: Her son, Christian, who was always so helpful and great with his little brothers. He has recently moved to Chattanooga, TN.
Her only daughter, Trinity, who the young ones call Sissy. She was and will always be her "Mom's little girl", while having Chevon's tenacity, and kept everyone on time for Church. She lives in Charlotte, NC.
Braxton, 10, and is so connected to his Mom, they could read each other's thoughts.
And Kagan, 8, who is the baby of the family, but a fearless kid, just like his Mom.
She is also survived by her loving sister, Constance, and Constance’s family—husband Jeremy and daughters Shelby and Sydney—who shared her love of the beach and who meant the world to Chevon. Chevon’s brothers, Jacob and Levi, were deeply loved by her, and she held them in her prayers. She found solace and support in her Aunt Marsha and Uncle Peter, who was always there to offer advice and love.
She has a special place in the hearts of so many, it's impossible to name all of you.
Neighborhood kids and friends, coworkers, relatives, acquaintances, and on and on...
Some even called her "Mom", and many know Chevon as their "best friend". She was genuinely all of that and more. A special mention of Lisa, her school days friend, that stayed connected for life. All her friends were treated as Best Friends, and Chevon is watching over us all.

To Chevon,
Thank you for giving me the strength to write this short reflection of your life. There is so much more that the "dash" represents.
I love you,
