Charles William Yaeger, 82, of Conway, South Carolina, passed away on October 23rd 2025. Born on September 27th 1943 in Brooklyn, New York. Loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to: Tracy Ann Marino (Michael Marino), Charles J. Yaeger (Karen Yaeger), Karen Ann Yaeger-Buscemi (Gino Buscemi), Charley Yaeger, Steven Yaeger, Brandon Yaeger. Grandfather of Michael, Lauren, Charles, Melissa, Gino, ToniAnn, Dominic, Chazz, Immanuel, Josh, Cali and Brooklyn. Great-grandfather of Raiden, Gianna, Autumn, Giovanni, and Guilianna.
Charlie grew up in Maspeth, Queens as the youngest of ten children. He was very active in sports, baseball being his favorite. Charlie aspired to be like his older brothers and join the military, and was very proud of his service in the U.S Army. He was part of the 101st Airborne Division, nicknamed the “Screaming Eagles”. During his service he also played baseball for the U.S Army. Charlie was a diehard New York Yankees fan and enjoyed martial arts,motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson’s. He had many over the years and in his spare time enjoyed working on them. Charlie was always a hardworking man. While living in New York he worked for the Union of Elevator Constructors for over twenty years. Charlie was a renaissance man; he was a personal trainer, he worked as a roofer and he was a bouncer. In 1996, Charlie moved with his young family to Las Vegas, Nevada where he continued to work for Las Vegas Paving and worked with heavy equipment. Charlie stayed devoted to fitness even through his battle with cancer, which he won.
In his later years, Charlie moved to South Carolina with his daughter Tracy and son-in-law Mike, who cared for him up until his passing.
