Carol Calo Obituary

Carol Ann (Trentanina) Calo, 87, was reunited with her sisters and parents in heaven on June 25, 2026 at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach, SC surrounded by close friends and family.

Carol was born on New Years, January 1, 1939 in Waterbury, CT to the late Michael and Nancy (Pesino) Trentanina.

She was a longtime resident of Wolcott, CT with her sister, Annette Flaherty, and her beloved husband Stephen Flaherty. Carol and Stephen relocated to Longs, SC in March of 2021 years after Annette had left this world.

Carol spent her life helping others as an Office Manager for an Oncologist in CT.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially gathering with her friends playing LCR , doing her crosswords, drinking her black decaf coffee ,and she treasured every moment spent with her family. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart, her generous nature, and the love she gave so freely.

Carol was predeceased by her parents and her three sisters, Rosemary Ieronimo, Marie Terni, and Annette Flaherty.

Carol leaves behind her daughter, Catherine Calo and her four children, Christopher and Kaitlyn Temple and Megan and Sarah Zigadto. Her brother in law, Stephen, with whom she made her home, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Per Carol’s wishes there will be no official service. If a celebration of life is decided, friends and family will be invited at a later date.
