Barbara W. Brackett

Greatly beloved mother and wife, on March 8, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Barbara Brackett Cole was a lifelong resident and brilliant businesswoman of Knoxville, Tennessee. Attended Webb, Bearden, Fulton and Farragut high schools in Knoxville and an elite private school in St. Paul, Minneapolis.

Graduated from the University of Tennessee with baccalaureate and Masters of Accountancy. Earned Certified Public Accountant (C.P,A.) license. After working for a top accounting firm, she formed her own successful business, Brackett Accounting Services. She was incredibly kind and joyfully conscientious toward her family, her clients and all who knew her. As a bold young woman at age 20, she traveled alone to New York City, London, Paris and Tehran, Iran, prior to the fall of the Shah. She bravely and cheerfully battled physical challenges.

She dearly loved and is survived by her husband Rick; son Jacob and his wife Nikki; son Russell and his wife Amity; son David and his fiancé Juliette; grand-children Cassy, Addison, Alexis, Coralie and Abe; brother-in-law Jim and his wife Joyce; sister-in-law Mitzi Anne; and nieces Michelle and Katherine.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Myrtle Beach Funeral Home, 4505 US Highway 17 Bypass South, Myrtle Beach, SC. 29577.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12noon till 1:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
