Ann Greene Obituary

It is with great sadness that the Greene family announces the sudden passing of Ann Baloga Greene, 85, who died peacefully on December 27, 2025, in her home surrounded by family.

Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard K. Greene, who passed away in 2011, as well as her parents, Alexander Baloga and Christine (Hovanec) Baloga.

Born on July 22, 1940, in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, Ann moved to Michigan in 1942 and then the family settled in South Branch, New Jersey. She graduated from Somerville High School, where she met the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Greene.

Ann and Dick married in 1959 and raised their four children in Bridgewater, New Jersey, where Ann was deeply involved in the community. She was active in her children’s schools and sporting activities, pursued continuing education, and supported numerous local philanthropic causes.  Her generosity and kindness knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of many people with her warmth, wisdom, and open heart.

As Dick founded and grew a successful design and construction company, Ann played many important roles behind the scenes, contributing significantly to the company’s success. The family cherished summers in Monterey Beach, New Jersey, where Ann delighted in time spent with her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Ann had a lifelong passion for travel, a love she proudly passed on to her children and grandchildren. She and Dick traveled extensively around the world, and Ann later shared her knowledge and enthusiasm by opening her own travel business in Green Brook, NJ.

Ann relocated to South Carolina where she enjoyed the last 5 years at Portside at Grand Dunes, where she had family nearby. She made many new friends, and competed at mahjong and scrabble. Ann continued to be an avid NY Yankee fan!

Above all else, Ann’s greatest joy was her family. She loved family gatherings and was especially grateful to celebrate her 85th birthday last summer, surrounded by her entire family.

Ann is survived by her four children: Suzanne Moran (Philip), Allan Greene (Claudia), Bryan Greene (Carolyn), and Allyson Shanoski (John). She was a devoted “Grammy” to her eight grandchildren: Alexis Jungdahl, Erica Kellett, Kenneth Greene, Jason Greene, Dayna Shanoski, Ryan Shanoski, Julia Harris and Stephen Greene, as well as three great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother Martin Baloga and her brother John Baloga (Lucille), who were a tremendous source of support to the family in recent years. Ann is further survived by in-laws, many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will fondly remember her.

Arrangements are private.
